10th Annual DDVA Dyslexia Advocacy Day

Join DDVA for a day of dyslexia advocacy work THIS TUESDAY, January 31, 2023. On our 10th annual organized advocacy day, we will coordinate in Richmond to engage with legislators in order to educate them on dyslexia by sharing our stories in order to direct their attention toward students with dyslexia in Virginia. We’ll be asking them to support our bills during this legislative session.

Learn more on how you can support the bills by clicking on the Legislative Info Link on our events page! And be sure to watch the webinar recording of VAPTA 'Let's Close the Reading Gap' which includes great information about the need for the Science of Reading in Virginia and how best to advocate for the new bills being presented in the 2023 legislative session.

After a full day immersed in the legislative process, we would love to see you at the Capital Ale House, 623 E. Main Street from 4 pm - 6 pm to enjoy some time to unwind and celebrate the 10th year of DDVA Dyslexia Advocacy Day with some light fare and sweet treats!

Our advocacy day agenda is posted in the event portion of our website. You can contact us at decodingdyslexiava@gmail.com, if needed.
